Matharpacady or Mathar Pakhadi is a quaint cosmopolitan Goan village with artistic wrought iron and wood bungalows, art décor, sprawling porches, verandahs and bowers. A few minutes walk is Gunpowder Street which has scrap metal junkyards that deal in Ship scrap that comes from Darukhana / Lakdi or Reti Bunder.
